Transformation of 2 dilapidated Victorian Flats into a high end boutique house for young professionals

Full refurbishment of this Victorian terraced house in Reading.

The property had been previously badly converted into two flats. The brief was to convert the property back into 1 house again and transform it into a luxury high end rental for young professionals to rent.

Considering the wellbeing of the user was of prime consideration and spaces were thoroughly planned to allow for maximum comfort with ensuites built in every bedroom, maximum storage, hotel standard small double beds for maximum comfort and sleep, communal lounge/kitchen with dining table and chairs to allow for interaction and connectivity.

Looking at high end boutique hotels for inspiration a theme of nature was used throughout. An earthy colour palette was chosen where a central dramatic feature wall is featured in a statement colour. Incorporating an urban feel throughout industrial exposed Edison bulb lights feature throughout the hallways.
