Frequently asked questions

Do you provide 3D drawings or visualisations?Icon-arrow

Yes. For most interior design and joinery projects we create 3D drawings or visualisations. This helps you see how a design will feel in your space before anything is built or installed.

Do you provide a written estimate or quotation?Icon-arrow

We work with staged payments agreed at the start of the project. The final payment is only due once you are completely satisfied and any adjustments have been made.

What are your payment terms?Icon-arrow

We typically work on a staged payment schedule, agreed in advance. The final payment is held until you’re fully satisfied, and all snagging items are resolved. Large upfront payments are not in our practice.

Are you insured?Icon-arrow

Yes. We hold full public liability insurance and can share details on request.

Will my project run on time?Icon-arrow

We plan carefully and communicate clearly. While unforeseen issues can sometimes cause delays, we agree key milestones and update you promptly if changes arise.

Do you work with architects or contractors?Icon-arrow

Yes. We regularly collaborate with architects, developers, and contractors to bring projects to life. Our role is often to ensure that design decisions also support well-being and regenerative principles.

How long does a bespoke joinery / furniture commission take?Icon-arrow

Timelines depend on scale, design complexity, and site conditions, but typical projects take 8–14 weeks from concept to installation. During the design phase, we’ll confirm a detailed schedule for your specific project.

Do you offer consultancy without design or build?Icon-arrow

Yes. We provide stand-alone consultancy on regenerative design and development, healthy homes, and sustainable materials, which can guide your project team or business.

How do you approach healthy home design?Icon-arrow

We look at indoor air quality, materials, light, space planning, and overall well-being. Using non-toxic finishes, natural materials, and biophilic principles helps create interiors that nurture health.

How long does a bespoke joinery project take?Icon-arrow

Typically 8–14 weeks, depending on the scale and complexity. Kitchens are often on the longer side, while smaller furniture commissions are quicker.

What materials and finishes do you use?Icon-arrow

We prioritise locally sourced materials wherever possible, reclaimed timber, and low-VOC or toxin-free finishes. Our joinery is designed to be long-lasting and future-proof.

Can you reuse or adapt existing furniture?Icon-arrow

Yes. We often refinish or adapt existing pieces, integrate heirlooms, or repurpose materials with personal significance.

What is the minimum project size?Icon-arrow

We welcome both small one-off commissions and full interior projects. Every piece receives the same level of care and craftsmanship.

Do you offer aftercare or adjustments?Icon-arrow

Yes. We provide aftercare and advice on maintaining your furniture or joinery. If adjustments are needed, we are here to help.

What does regenerative design mean in practice?Icon-arrow

Regenerative design begins by asking: what is the essence and potential of this place? Every project is part of a larger living system, people, home, community, and landscape. We design in ways that bring spaces to life, so they can support well-being and evolve over time. That means choosing materials that can be reused, creating adaptable systems, and crafting interiors and joinery that deepen the story of the place.

How do you minimise waste?Icon-arrow

We design with the long view in mind. By using modular and glueless construction, pieces can be disassembled, reused, or adapted rather than thrown away. Offcuts are turned into smaller items, and reclaimed materials are given new life. Waste isn’t just avoided it’s seen as potential for something else.

How do your choices support health and well-being?Icon-arrow

We look beyond appearance to ask how a space can truly nurture life. That means working with non-toxic finishes, natural materials, and healthy light and air. When a space reflects the patterns of living systems, it feels more balanced, alive, and supportive of everyday well-being.

Do you track your environmental impact?Icon-arrow

Yes. We are mapping our carbon footprint and energy use, but our approach goes further than numbers. We work with local supply chains, reclaimed resources, and regenerative principles so that each project leaves a positive legacy strengthening the relationship between people, place, and planet.
